Hi there! I’m Vivian Faye Rivers (she/her). I’m an analog photographer based in the birthplace of Kodak, Rochester, New York. I shoot mainly on 35mm and enjoy playing with alternative development methods.

I’m inspired by the Mary Oliver quote, “Pay attention / Be Astonished / Tell about it.” It is these words that guide me as I document life on film.

Why film?

Growing up in a digital world is what pushed me to analog photography.

It helps me practice intentionality not only in taking photos but in being intentional with my attention in a fast paced world. It makes me slow down and “pay attention” (as Mary Oliver says).
